Eucommia Walnut & Pig's Kidney Soup

About the Recipe


  • 1 pair Pig's Kidneys (Cleaned)

  • 30 grams of Eucommia (Du Zhong)

  • 30 grams of Walnuts

  • A few ginger slices / scallions

  • Sesame Oil / Soya Sauce / Salt


Step 1

Add Eucommia and Pig's Kidney Slices into 2 litres of boiling water.

Step 2

Add in Ginger slices and Shallots too.

Step 3

Let boil for a few minutes and Skim off scum from surface of the water.

Step 4

Add in walnuts.

Step 5

Boil over low heat for 2 hours.

Step 6

Add Sesame Oil, Soya Sauce and Salt to Taste.

Step 7

Serve Soup! Enjoy!
